Sing the Bible Vol. 4, the latest release in Randall Goodgame’s immensely popular Slugs & Bugs series, released April 30 with the theme of “family discipleship.”
“Every parent I know sometimes struggles to lead their children into discipleship.” Goodgame explains, “largely because we all struggle to be faithful disciples. I hope this record provides a joyful way for parents and kids to grow and celebrate following Jesus together."
With 37 passages on 13 word-for-word Scripture songs, Sing the Bible Vol. 4 serves as a fun, memorable resource to help families memorize Scripture and start meaningful conversations around how to follow Jesus as a family.
Highlights include toe-tappers like “This Is the Message!” (feat. Lakiesha Williams) and “Two Are Better than One,” (featuring fellow children’s music act Rain For Roots), as well as the inspirational ballad “Micah 6:8.” Goodgame also brings in his signature humor and whimsy with tracks like “The Ox,” an uproarious and surprisingly moving presentation of Proverbs 14:4, featuring delightful children’s narration.
Coinciding with the release of The Slugs & Bugs Show(Season 2), Sing the Bible Vol. 4 also features performances from beloved puppet characters Doug the Slug and Sparky the Lightning Bug as well as Miss Carla the delivery lady. The album also introduces a new robot character named “Robort” that unwittingly helps teach the Fruit of the Spirit.
