Sing the Bible - Galatians 2:20 Christ Lives!

In the wake of Easter and Resurrection Sunday, this passage from Galatians leaps into my heart as I sing.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The crucifixion is still fresh on our minds, magnifying the miracle of the resurrection. As we sift through the implications like eternal forgiveness, eternal belonging, being fully known and fully loved, and the price that was paid for it all, it’s no wonder the angels sing "holy, holy, holy" all day long.

It’s cosmic, and yet, my task as a disciple is earthy. Wash feet, forgive, repent, "by faith in the Son of God who loves me and gave himself for me.” When confronted with your own sin, let the crucifixion stand once and for all as the perfect picture of God’s love for you - that you might be filled - not with shame - but with love and gratitude and celebration that Christ lives in you!
